Mojo Monday 274 Happy Birthday Card

The view outside my window is snowy countryside in shades of white and gray, but the view within my heart is brightly colored today. I've made a couple of birthday cards in brighter shades to chase away the monochromatic scenes before me and the problems that kept popping up today. At times like this I lean on Philippians 4:8 - whatever things are true...honest...just...pure...lovely...of good report; if there  be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

This first one uses the round or square challenge sketch from Mojo Monday 274. (I did still use shades of white and gray on the butterfly that I dream of visiting my garden.)

This card was also inspired by The Dutch Dare Card Challenge 198, to use 1 image, 2 fibers, 3 designer papers, 4 corners (not round), and 5 embellishments (my gray pearls).

May God bless you with lovely thoughts when the world around you seems like shades of gray!

I'm sharing this card with the following blogs:

What a lovely card! The combination of the neutral main butterfly with the more colorful background is stunning. I especially like your bows and pearls - so pretty.

Beautiful , Vicki. I love this birthday card and the colors you used are " sunny" , after so many blah and snowy cold days here, it's nice to see a happy card. Thanks for joining in at Dutch Dare card challenges.
