This week at the Clearly Inspired Challenge we have a favorite color challenge:
We want to see a mostly white and black card with a pop of one color of your choice.
I used the digi set for this month called "Splats." I chose the pink splat and the sentiment that went with it. I layered the png files so that the sentiment fit on top of the splat. I may have used a little too much pink with that big polka dotted ribbon, but it's been calling to me for some time and I always ignore it. I plan to use this card for a friend some time when really good news is shared and I want her to know how happy I am about it. (I have a couple of friends that I'm hoping to hear that they'll soon be a grandma!) Of course, that sentiment could be for new job, engagment or wedding news, too.
I embossed the white panel with the 5" x 7" dots Cuttlebug folder to go with the Black and white dotted dp from Basic Grey's "Little Black Dress." After printing the "splat" and sentiment, I die cut it with the Spellbinders Nestabilities "Heart Circles." I decided to mat it with a 3" solid black cardstock circle. Overall, this design is really simple.
I hope you'll join our challenge and show us your interpretation of our color challenge. Can't wait to see what you make!
I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
