Very Retro Rubber Flower Card

I was looking for a color challenge for a flowery card and found this idea at Retro Rubber. Since I have lots of older stamps (not to mention a treasure of new ones) I love challenges that inspire me to use them.

I've had the  CTMH stamps called Endless Friendship since 2009 and the sentiment from my days of teaching at the scrapbook store, Technique Tuesday's "Big Mouth" with super big sentiments for cards. I purchased those in 2008.

I wanted a profusion of flowers for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge to fill the edges and a large sentiment in the middle. Here's my card for a friend who is going on a mission trip next in June.

The inside verse is a rubber stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 that I've had at least five years. I chose this verse because she plans to travel in several different countries while she's abroad and I'll be praying that she will trust God for every need and direction as she travels across Europe.

Thank you for visiting. May God make your paths straight as you trust Him with your plans.

I'm sharing the first card with the following challenges:

Double D Challenge - Flowers Galore
Crafty Cardmakers #189 - Floral Profusion
Retro Rubber Challenge #63 - color challenge

The Crafty Addicts #36 -anything + add a sentiment
Word Art Wednesday #284-285 - anything goes

I made a second card like this with a vertical sentiment that is new, the April PTI Year of Psalms stamp.

Hi Vickie,

Thanks for your comment on my challenge blog about my inlinkz not working properly. It is working properly. A permalink is a link in your own post that links directly to the challenge you are entering. Not just the front page of the blog, but the actual challenge post itself. So in this case you would need this link http://craftycardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/189-floral-profusion.html. It's easy enough to do. You hover over the title challenge post you are linking to and using the mouse you right click and then scroll down the list of options to 'copy link location' this will copy the URL for the blog post. In the same way that you have entered a clickable link to the main challenge blog you just substitute the URL for that with the one in your clipboard, and bingo, you have a permalink. There is a full explanation and alternative way of getting the link if you click on the 'read more' part of the inlinkz where it says it needs a permalink. If you add the link in either of the ways mentioned and try to enter again, I am sure it will let you do so. In fact if you had carried on it would have left the entry on the inlinkz, so I would have been able to override and publish it, but not have actually published it.

I hope that's cleared up any confusion :-)

Thank you for your lovely comment about my team's cards for this particular challenge.

Your card is so pretty. I love the soft summer feel of the colour palette, and there are a lovely variety of colurs and flowers, spot on perfect for our floral challenge.

Look forward to seeing your link in the list

Hi Vickie!
I read the (long) comment above and was curious what challenge that was where you said the link wasn't working. I know that you're well aware of how to enter a challenge and what a permanlink is, etc. The reason I'm curious is that I had trouble entering a challenge this week (linky not working) so I just wondered. ANYWAY.....(lol) I'm sure glad you've chosen to play along with us again. I always enjoy seeing your sweet cards in our challenges. Have a happy and creative week.
Blessings,
Karen
