Twist of Faith to Bless Your Heart

Each week at Twist of Faith we have been sharing our faith with uplifting and encouraging cards. We often include a scripture with our sentiment.  I have been uplifted by the many cards the challenge followers have entered from week to week. Today our blog announced that we will be taking an indefinite break from posting new challenges, so this will be my last "official" post until we start up again. However, I will keep posting faith-based cards each week like our other team members. I know we will see many of you at Word Art Wednesday and other blogs. Be sure to keep checking to see our return date. We love sharing God's love with our families, friends, and fellow bloggers.

For today's post I made a card  using images, papers, and sentiments from two Doodle Pantry digi sets, Heart for God Sentiments and Heartful Heart. Laurie at Doodle Pantry has many stamp sets with scripture and/or uplifting sentiments. I loved this heart image - it looks like a heart full of love!

This sentiment was what Christ called the first and greatest commandment. He then added that the second was like it - we should love our neighbors as ourselves. I believe that the more we focus on loving God, we find even more love in our hearts for those around us. When I was 25 I started a Bible reading plan that I continued for decades. At a teacher's conference we were encouraged to read 5 chapters of Psalms a day and one chapter of Proverbs. There are 150 Psalms chapters and 31 of Proverbs. That works out so that you start over again each month. Psalms help us to have a heart for God and Proverbs help us to know how to live with our fellow man.

I used this week's sketch from Mojo Monday 327.

My card is 5.5" x 4.25".  The Crystal Blue cardstock strip was embossed with "Tiny Hearts" from The Paper Studio. To have them going the right direction, lengthwise, I embossed it twice. I lined the heart die cut on the bottom of the sentiment with silver glitter paper and tied a wide silver ribbon around that panel. The smaller hearts were cut out of one of the digi papers that I also used on the inside:

Thank you for visiting! I pray that God's love will fill your heart so that you will find endless blessings of love to share with all those around you. May His love shine in all you do!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
