I'm getting ready for my daughter's birthday next month with this card. I used a paper pack with a Parisian theme because she was able to travel to Paris four years ago. I'm hoping the card will bring back sweet memories of the sights and her friends there. Although time is nearly up, I couldn't finish the week without a card using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.
I stamped the Verve sentiment with Pansy Purple ink and sponged a little of that ink around the scalloped edges of the sentiment shape. All of the papers came from the same paper pack. The designer papers have "zip strips" on one edge that has a design on one side and identifying labels on the other. I mounted the zip strip on gold metallic organdy ribbon to go across the card which was inspired by the challenge at Come and Get It this week: tie a ribbon around it. The flower was made by attaching a pink rolled satin rose on the middle of a prima flower. The flower and ribbon together fit the challenge at The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Blog this week. Together with this paper, I think they give this card a very feminine look. . . just like my oldest daughter!
