Simple Chevron Birthday Card

I met my friend Sue more than 10 years ago when she started taking my adult ed scrapbook and card classes at an area high school. Her enthusiasm for both were contagious. She adores her family members which makes her a dedicated scrapbooker. She cares deeply about friends and acquaintances which makes her an eager card maker. When we're together we share our hearts and pray for each other's needs, problems, and blessings.

Here's a quick card I made for her birthday. My back is really bad right now so quick simplicity is important to me. I used a free cut file (from Dream Big) at Cricut Design Space to make the chevrons. Here's my cut file sized for a 4.25" x 5.5" card. (There was an extra little "heart chevron" I wasn't able to ungroup.)

The background DP was long-retired navy blue CTMH background and texture paper that looks like fabric (another attempt to USE IT UP). I stamped "Birthday" with black ink and used white embossing powder to make "wishes" stand out. The stamp set is CTMH Lovely Birthday. I added three pink enamel gems to match the flowers and chevron.

Thank you for joining me as I  honored a special friend on her birthday!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
