Ariana Mother's Day Card

Proverbs 31 has always challenged me to be the amazing woman described in the verses. Now that I'm in my 60's I have enough wisdom to know I won't always live up to all the standards, but I also know that God has created us to be unique individuals, many variations of this godly woman, and that His Spirit can help us to live a godly life to glorify Him.  Today's Mother's Day card has one of the last verses from this chapter:

"A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised! Proverbs 31:30"

The bottom two diecuts are from Cricut Artiste. The punched scalloped circle was just the right size for the stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs. I used two CTMH design stamps on the bottom layer to fill the right and left sides.  I have way too many brads, so I attached four of them to match the light blue in the paper. The CTMH crocheted flowers have CTMH button centers in two shades of blue.

Ariana Birthday Card

I never seem to have enough birthday cards around. Here's one I made that has what sounds like an Irish Blessing as the sentiment. Although this stamp set is quite old, I still love the silhouette flower images and sentiment. When I first got this stamp set I cut the long sentiment in half so it would fit better. I goofed and cut it one line too soon as you'll notice. Of course it still makes sense, but I didn't mean to break up the phrase.  Here's what it says:

May you have enough happiness

to make you sweet,

enough trials to make you strong,

enough trials to keep you human,

and enough hope to make you happy.

The CTMH Ariana paper pack combines the red, pink, green, dark gray and blues to give a lot of possibilities for cards. I cut a tag using Cricut Design Space and I'm pretty sure it came from Artiste.  I turned it upside down so that the hole was under the ribbon. The retired stamp set I used is called "Treasure Life." I used Garden Green and Sky inks to stamp the leaves and flowers on the tag. I inked the lower stem/leaf portion with green first, then I inked the top flower portion with Sky blue ink.

I've made quite a few Ariana cards for our card workshop this weekend. Later this week I'll put them all in one post for my workshop ladies to refer to.

Ariana Vintage Love Card

I feel so fortunate to have had amazing friends all throughout my life. Each one has blessed my life in many ways. I was reading 1 Thessalonians 3 last night and found this thought in verse 12:

and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;

This has become my prayer, that my love for others would increase, not just for my friends and family, but for all people, even the unlovable.  Valentines Day is a great way to let others know how much we love them. In fact, we should be ready to share messages of love any day of the year. Can you imagine what an amazing place this world would be if everyone loved the way Christ loves us?

Here's one of my cards made with Ariana paper that has a vintage feel.  My favorite part of this card is the message of this Skylark stamp set.

I used black pearls, instead of the usual white ones,  and a black sparkle flourish for contrast. The baker's twine bow on top of the lace bow has a metallic gold thread which adds a little more sparkle but doesn't show up in this photo.
