A Tea-rrific Teaser

Everyone close to me knows I drink my morning teas in a very large cup!  I learned to drink milk in my tea the English way when I was nine years old at a mother-daughter missions banquet at church. If it wouldn't keep me awake, I'd probably be drinking it all through the day! My tea time came in handy when my hubby and I had a friend from England's Lake District who would visit nearly every year. We both drank tea with milk! One of my friends has a son working in Great Britain so when she went to visit she brought me three tins of English tea. She deserves to have the card I made today! She's a tea-rrific friend!

When I saw today's challenge at Try It On Tuesday, Time for Tea, I knew I needed to share this card which introduces a new stamp set that becomes available tomorrow as the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month.  I grabbed some retired papers (CTMH Zoe) and Petaloo flowers to make this card. The blue Glacier paper was embossed with CTMH Dots and lined on each side with white glitter paper. The doily has a 2.25" circle of Glacier colored hounds tooth plaid. I stamped the cup and the sentiment with Slate then sponged the edges of the cup with Sorbet after it was cut out. One of my favorite finishing touches is the shiny Blush Shimmer Ribbon. The butterfly and flowers are in memory of the times I've had tea on my patio by the garden!

Zoe Scrapbook Layouts

Saturday I had a lovely time with the ladies in our scrapbook club. Here are the layouts in case you need help knowing where you can put photos. Because we are in the middle of a huge remodeling project at our house, only one of my layouts has photos.You'll also notice that I kept these two layouts fairly simple, using most of your Zoe paper pack.
Amazingly, I was organizing and putting away some photos when I noticed those photos seemed to match the Zoe paper. I usually print my photos at home in the sizes I need for specific layouts. These had been printed in different sizes but forgotten so I don't even know for which layout they were intended. So I moved them around until they landed in a pleasing fashion. This is the way some of you add photos later.
These were taken in the Tetons in Wyoming about a week after I retired, on our way home from the CTMH Convention in Salt Lake City.

Here are closer pictures so you can see more details.  I scored the edges of the Kraft paper 1/4" from the edge and added marker doodled "stitches at the edge. In the Zoe Complements there are so many stickers and Kraft and vellum  shapes that you can choose some to match your own photos or theme. Here you can see how I clustered the combinations that I chose.

In addition to using the Zoe Workshop on the Go kit and Complements, I added several pieces of White Daisy and Kraft cardstock for backgrounds and mats  I hope this helps you make your workshop layouts.

CTMH Zoe Cards

My previous day's post showed two of the cards I made using the Frames stamp of the month with Zoe papers.

I used some new poppy shimmer trim and green glitter triangles. The butterflies were cut using the shiny side of Lagoon cardstock from the Paper Fundamentals assortment.
