I was intrigued by the Poetry Inspiration challenge at CCEE. I especially loved this part of the poem they chose:
A poem should be wordless
As the flight of birds.
As the flight of birds.
I chose a vintage image of swallows in flight to illustrate these lines in the poem.Swallows are so graceful to watch - truly poetic! You can find quite a few vintage images of birds, including swallows at The Graphics Fairy. This image shows one of the swallows carrying a sprig of blue forget-me-nots. The sentiments I chose for the front and inside are from the "Happy Birthday" set by Our Daily Bread Designs. I made this in honor of my mom's birthday (that would have been this week) in shades of blue, her favorite color.
