September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Just Treats

Welcome to our blog hop featuring the CTMH stamp of the month! If you just came from Melinda Everitt's blog, you're on the right path. You can find a complete list of participants at Melinda's blog hop list here.

I thought this stamp set is perfect for the many Christmas tags I make each year. Here are two of the ones I made this week. I cut both tags using the new Thin Cuts-Fancy Tags. I thought white embossing would look nice for both. The first uses all of the tiny Christmas images to make a stamped background. The word "JOY" was masked using a sticky note. (First I stamped the entire image, then I cut out the word "JOY" and stamped again on my white cardstock letting all the other words match up again on the sticky note so that only "JOY" is stamped on the white cardstock.)

The second tag includes a snowflake using the new Thin Cuts-Winter Flurries with a new Red Pearl in the center. Both tags are made using paper from the new 'Tis the Season paper pack and Candy Apple Striped Ribbon, and White and Gold Skinny Ribbon.

You can purchase this stamp only in the month of September for the full price of $18.95 or for $5 with a $50 purchase from your consultant or here on my website.

Holiday Expressions Blog Hop

Welcome to our blog hop highlighting new products from the CTMH Holiday Expressions. If you just came from Maureen OSullivan's blog, you're on the right path.  You can see the complete list on Melinda Everitt's blog.
I always seem to order my favorite items first, so I decided to show a couple of those. I love the new winter themed papers of "Oh, Deer." I paired them with new Christmas stamps, fibers, snowflake dies, and a snowflake embossing folder, all new! Here are the first results:

Both cards have gold embossed sentiments from Very Merry Holiday. I enjoyed using the new snowflake die to cut the open design. I think it's easier to place dies where you want them than to try to cut a card like this using the Cricut.

The second card has the sentiment stamped and embossed on vellum from the Uptown Fundamentals paper pack. The shiny embossed woodgrain seemed to fit perfectly with the pine paper from the Oh, Deer pack. The cricut pinecone and branch were cut using Cricut Flower Market, using Cocoa, Chocolate, and Sea Glass cardstock. The shiny mat is Sea Glass glitter paper.

My last project was quick and simple. I need a lot of Christmas gift tags, so I stamped pine branches and the pine cones from the Perfectly Pine stamp set and embossed the sentiment from A Child Is Born. I tied them with three different fibers. The white and gold twine and the black shimmer ribbon are my favorites.

The 2.5" x 4" tags were stamped with New England Ivy and Cocoa. Two of them have additional background branches stamped with Sea Glass.

Thank you for visiting! Now you're ready to see Jennifer Dykstra's creation.

Bastel-Traum Guest Designer Easter Tag

I was asked to be a guest designer at the Bastel-Traum challenge when my Happy Healing with Boo-Boo Birdie card was chosen as a winner. I had such fun chats with one of the designers, Ute, and I've made a TAG that will decorate an Easter basket this weekend.

My tag started with a heavy piece of My Mind's Eye double-sided patterned cardstock. The design was cut out using CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy. It has quite a few different tag shapes. The next top layer of the tag was cut 1/2" smaller out of Kraft cardstock. Then it was embossed with a basket weave embossing folder. I also cut the white scallop shape with that cartridge then embossed it with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The image and sentiment are from the Doodle Pantry set, Spring Trimmings. I used the uncolored image of the Easter eggs in a basket and colored the image using Copic markers similar to the way Laurie colored hers. I decorated the tag with two Prima flowers and a butterfly that had one wing colored. I used a Copic marker to color the other wing.

I'm sharing this tag with the following challenges:
