PSC60 - Metal Embellished Birthday

I want to wish you a Happy New Year and I hope you had a blessed Christmas and special time with family and friends.

The Perfect Sentiments Challenge is back after a lovely holiday. With the beginning of the new year it's a great time to replenish my card supply. Cards are such a beautiful way to greet your friends and family. I hope you'll join us for this challenge:

CREATE A CARD WITH A BIRTHDAY SENTIMENT; INCLUDE SOME TYPE OF METAL EMBELLISHMENT ON YOUR CARD: EYELETS, BRADS, SPIRAL CLIPS, ETC.

We're being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish. One lucky winner will get to choose 5 Free digital images!

The birthday card that I made has three different kinds of metal.

I actually made this card when I was picking up scraps from my table. That often gives me ideas for new cards. The middle of the floral design has a pewter badge button, like a brad, but it is self-adhesive, so it lays flat a little better. The gray sparkles are pewter rimmed. The sentiment is being held with a pewter pin clip.

I stamped the floral decoration twice. The "stitched" background was stamped with creme brulee ink. The sorbet design was stamped over it. I used large pieces of foam tape to adhere the image, which was perfect to stick the pin clip in so that it didn't poke out somewhere on the card. The image and the calico print have sort of a country or western look to me, so I included burlap ribbon and some embossed and sanded lines on the cardstock. I always cut extra pieces using the Cricut Artiste so the dark brown shape was there among the scraps.

I was about to throw away an old scrap - the end strip I'd cut off the My Mind's Eye paper with the logo and information, but the brown strip intrigued me. I just had to heat emboss my sentiment on that and attach it with the pin clip.

May God bless you and yours in this new year!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
