Twist of Faith #44 with Scripture Background

I designed this card today for my youngest granddaughter who is five. The image from Lacy Sunshine looks a lot like her and the theme of my card is in the background I made: Matthew 4:19, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." She has talked to me a couple of times about wanting to follow Jesus, so I thought this was a perfect verse to use as the background of my image. (And then, of course, her family is fishing like crazy this summer.)

This week's challenge at Twist of Faith is to make your own background, and of course add scripture or encouraging verse. I made mine with text on both the white cardstock and the pink. I wrote the verse for Matthew 4:19, copied and pasted it repeatedly on a 4" x 6" background, changing the color to an aqua blue. (You are welcome to use this background any time you'd like. Click on it and it will be larger, then right click and select save as.)

                             



Then I copied and pasted the image "Molly Fishing" in the middle and printed. My bottom pink layer of cardstock was stamped repeatedly with CTMH Blush ink. I used an old CTMH stamp that had words like eternity, beloved, hope, always, forever, etc. They were probably meant to be wedding words, but I see them as perfect in describing our relationship to Christ.

The image and the CTMH text butterfly were colored with copics. The corners of the image panel were punched with a 1" corner punch to make room for yellow buttons with tan CTMH sparkles on top. All of the sparkled flowers are also from CTMH.
