The blackboard/chalkboard look has been pretty popular. I was glad to find a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs, "Glory to God," that has a Christmas message with this look. I decided to make a masculine card that uses simplicity and glorifies God with the artistic Scripture verse and the images. I especially liked the way the image includes a cross, reminding us that Christ didn't just come as a baby, but was the perfect sacrifice that could take our place, paying for our sins - the perfect Christmas gift for all eternity!
The image is scissor distressed and matted with kraft cardstock that I debossed on the edges to make it frame-like. I used some long-retired red plaid paper and black button brads from Close To My Heart. The corrugated Kraft star is also retired from CTMH and has a current cork star on top of it. The large striped black and white grosgrain ribbon seemed perfect for a masculine card, especially when knotted.
Thank you for visiting. For my friends in the U. S., Happy Thanksgiving!
