I haven't posted for a week while I was working on preparations for my last craft fair this year. I hope to post some of the craft items later this week. I did finally get an extra printer to use in case I have another printer emergency at the last minute like I did last week. Now it's time to get really serious about more Christmas cards for my husband and I to send and more for my elderly mother-in-law to send. I have a strong conviction that I want to keep Christ in Christmas, even though the media and stores want me to focus on gift-buying, parties and decorations.
This Christmas card was inspired by the image at Doodle Pantry, "Blessed Christmas." I printed the image of the Christ child, then printed again adding the beautiful sentiment Scripture above the image. I wanted to keep it simple to draw the attention to the image and sentiment.
I used two types of glitter details on this card: the red glittery patterned paper and the glitter gems in the corner of the Spellbinder's mat. Here's a close-up:
I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
Creative Knockouts #14 - Christmas Splendor
Cupcake Inspirations #240 - red, green, gold color inspiration
Delightful challenge - You're a Gem ( added glitter gems)
Happy Campers #24 - Glitter It
My Heart Pieces - Sparkle
Paper Pretties #287 - Looking like Christmas
Scribble and Scrap Challenge #7 - anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #109 - anything goes with Scripture or uplifting verse

Beautiful card. Love the embossed BG as well as the designer paper. All in all, a very well put together card. Blessings to you and your husband.
This is just beautiful! Wonderful saying! Love the paper you used as well! Thanks for sharing it with us at Delightful Challenges, "You're a Gem"! :)
This is just almost too beautiful. The image of the Christ Child is magnificent. The scripture above Him beautifully portrays John 1:1. Your background and layout are a wonderful backdrop for the main presentation. Thank you Vickie for entering your wonderful paper art project with us at Word Art Wednesday.
Blessings,
Carole Robb Bisson
