Today Laurie Wilson introduced a bunch of new (or re-released from CDS) digi image sets. Here are two cards made from two of the sets.
His Name Is...
I loved the rainbow look of this digi and was immediately inspired to pop dot a heart over one set of names. I decided to keep it Clean and Simple so the printed image of names would be the focus.
Here's the way I was able to cut the heart where I wanted it. I printed two of the images sized 4.5" wide by 3.5" high on 4: x 6" cards with landscape orientation. I wanted to cut out the heart highlighting the words "His Name Is Wonderful" and "Jesus." I used the Cricut, setting the cutting blade to the left 1" and down 1.5," cutting the heart out of scrap paper at 3." I removed the heart, but kept the scrap paper on the mat. I slid my printed paper under it to make sure I lined up the words in the hole. I removed the scrap paper and cut out the above heart, keeping the settings the same as the original scrap paper heart. All I had to do then was to add pop dots and line up the words. (This digi was previously from Clearly Digi Stamps.) Next time I think I'll print the second copy in light pink for cutting out the heart.
I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles #73 - die cuts and punches
Everybody Art #263 - Heart
Fairy Tale #86 - more than two colors
Squigglefly Challenge #4 - have a Heart
Word Art Wednesday #117 - anything goes with uplifting verse

Wagon Hellos 1
The second card uses a new digi set called Wagon Hellos 1. I printed the wagon and books on CTMH Champagne cardstock. The background burlap paper, book, and graph paper are all from the CTMH Scholastic paper pack. I used the colored image but added more blue sky and green grass to go to the edges of the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Circle.Be sure to check out all the great sets of images at Doodle Pantry. You can find them here. Check out the cards made by other designers for Doodle Pantry listed on the right, too!
