Embossed Silhouette Thinking of You

Our weather today is too warm (again) for March 6th with an increased chance of severe weather and tornadoes by evening. Gusty winds are already up to 48 miles per hour. I was in a severe F4 tornado when I was seven years old so this weather always makes me nervous, not just for myself, but for all the people in the path of this severe weather. At lunch I found myself praying for everyone's safety. So the message I chose for this card could apply to a lot of us.

My inspiration was this sketch that I found at Freshly Made Sketches so I tried to keep my card CAS (Clean and Simple)..and the colors from the Daring Cardmakers inspiration photo...I decided to "play" with some of my "Old Stuff," 2009 CTMH Silhouette papers that are black, white, and bamboo. I combined the Bamboo floral pattern with a current black pattern from Some Kinda Wonderful collection.

I saw some aqua books on the shelf so I added a few aqua sequins paired with the white.

I gold embossed the leafy shape from 2012 CTMH Flirty Workshop on the Go and white embossed the sentiment (current Happy to Be Friends) using Ranger Princess Gold and Recollections Snow Detail Embossing Powder and basic heat embossing after rubbing the surface with an anti-static Embossing Magic Powder Bag.

The inside verse says, "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you,  He will quiet you with his love.  He will rejoice over you with singing.  Zephaniah 3:17" In tornado weather I need the part that says that He will quiet me with His love! (from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Series #1)

Thank you for visiting! May God's love also quiet YOU during times of stress!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
