PSC58 - Let It Snow!

I typed the title of this week's challenge at The Perfect Sentiment and knew I was a liar. I really don't want it to snow, ever! It's beautiful, makes great photos in the way it changes the landscape, but it's too cold for me. Yet I remember having a great time in the snow as a kid. As a retired teacher who used to drive 30 miles one way in the stuff, what I like best about it now is staying in a warm house crafting all day!

So here's the challenge Jennipher designed for this week:

Use a sentiment for the occasion of your choice with this twist - incorporate some form of snow on your card: die-cut or punched snowflakes, snowflake embossing folder, snowmen or women

We are being sponsored by MelJen's Designs. She's providing 4 free digis to one lucky winner.

My card is says "A Merry Christmas." I used a vintage image from Magic Moonlight Free Images again. I also used the lovely Mojo Monday sketch again with this one, but this time I rotated it.

The snowflake paper is from Close To My Heart (blue and the ponderosa cardstock) and the sorbet piece is My Mind's Eye Lost and Found. I cut the snowflake with a Spellbinder's die that I've had for ages, then I added sparkles. The sparkle flourish and ribbon are from CTMH, also. I added the flourish in a way that I hoped would convey snow blowing.

I hope you can enjoy the beauty of snow this winter (in the Northern Hemisphere) without the problems it can create. As for me, I'll stay home with a pot of hot tea and enjoy the beauty from inside. I  hope you'll join in our challenge fun and create your own snowy creation.

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
Mojo Monday 270 - sketch
Ribbon Carousel Challenge #75 - Holiday Spirit (with ribbon or twine)
Shopping Our Stash Weekly #80 - Winter Holiday/snow

Absolutely gorgeous! The vintage image is so beautiful, and you've chosen such perfect embellishments to go with :) Love that rhinestone swirl!! And I hope you've stayed inside safe & warm too - still no snow to speak of for us (in Nova Scotia), aside from a couple of dustings. So strange to be 'green' this time of year!
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Shopping our Stash this week :)

I love this beautiful picture that you used and your layout is just outstanding. I like using non-traditional colors for Christmas and the bling is perfect.
