Happy 22nd Love Birds

You know what they say about "birds of a feather?" Hubby and I are so much alike it's unreal, mostly with good attributes and sometimes with a few bad habits  But as a whole, being so similar helps us understand each other and we're still madly in love.  I thought the Atlantic Hearts sketch and the colors from Color My Heart Color Dare would be great for a card to tell him after 22 years how much I still love him. He's having to spend a lot of time with his 93-year-old mom who has dementia so I know he can always use some encouragement. There was an option for gold or silver and I loved the chance to add a touch of gold.

I embossed the dark side of Linen cardstock with feathers and used Blossom ink to stamp feathers on the strip of Blossom. Since CTMH cardstock has a light and dark side I was able to stamp the light side and mat it with the dark side. I stamped the birds and the sentiment circle using the light side of Linen cardstock. I used scotch tape to mask the birds' legs then the bodies so I can use both Blossom and New England Ivy ink for the birds.  I used two of the CTMH Stampaganza stamps (buy 2 get one free) that have been brought back from retirement for this month only, Solos "2" and "h." You can check out all of them here.  If you'd like to see more Solos art/ideas come back through the week and visit our blog hop Friday night or Saturday morning.

I embossed the circle of "happy" with gold. I can see so many possibilities with this stamp. I love to use my older stamps and don't do it nearly enough.

Thank you for visiting! May you be blessed as you spread a little HAPPY with your cards!
