Church music, especially hymns, have been an important part of my life since I was very small. I can remember back to age three when I learned to sing in Children's Church. Sometimes I sat with my parents in the sanctuary, not paying attention to anything until we started singing hymns. That would grab my attention as I tried to learn to sing some of the words. For some reason, I loved a hymn called "Love Lifted Me." That was 60 years ago. Now, at this age, I miss those old hymns that have been replaced by more modern music. But they are still inside my head every day as I go about my daily routines.
Here is a home decor cross I made that used "Amazing Grace," one of the hymnal pages I gleaned from the old hymnals I found in a thrift store. Both of the stamped verses are from Our Daily Bread Designs. I chose ones that would be an encouragement for following Christ and answered prayer.
The digital verse on the right is from Papercraft Memories, WordArt by Karen. The Paper Studio frame was one I found at Hobby Lobby. I keep looking, but I've never seen any more. I'd like to make more as gifts. The paper on the right and left is from Close To My Heart "Clementine," and the top and middle papers are Graphic 45. The textured flower is from Prima (with a CTMH button added) and the leaves are unknown, from my stash. .
May your heart sing today as you rejoice in the Lord!

This is so beautiful and inspirational. Please share where we can find the home decor cross. I have been googling for over an hour with no luck at all. I would love to make one for my bedroom and this would be a wonderful present to personalize for each of my 3 granddaughters.
