This week at Twist of Faith our challenge is
Our sponsor is Digi Darla's Designs! Our random prize winner will receive their choice of FIVE images!
I used one of her darling images on my card, "Nature's Friend," because I wanted my card to express the joy God gives me when I'm outside in HIS created nature. Actually, I kept singing in a children's song in my head that came from Nehemiah. It keeps repeating the words "The joy of the Lor-or-or-ord is my strength." So I had to look up the verse reference and use this one.
My shaped card was cut using Cricut Art Philosophy, which has lots of different shaped cards. This shape went best with my image. Although it has one side that is folded, I've found you can add ribbon or cut one of the complete shapes from that key and glue it over the folded one to hide the fold. I cut Square4 Card using the Fit to Page feature, which made it 5.5."Then I cut a decorative frame for that shape using the floral paper from Graphic45's "Once Upon a Springtime." Because I had already printed my image, I cut two different sizes of the yellow paper and traced the smallest one that fit on my image and cut it out with scissors. The pattern became my writing area for the inside of the card. The other larger one became the yellow mat for my image. None of my ovals fit my verse, but I've found I can trace the outer edge of the oval sometimes when it fits and cut it out with scissors. (Dies and Cricut cartridges have spoiled me and sometimes I forget I can trace and cut!)
I added Prima flowers, leaves, CTMH old Olive organdy ribbon and Mocha Opaque pearls, and two swirly leaf die cuts I made using a Spellbinder's die, "Foliage Two."
Thank you for visiting. Please check out the samples by the rest of the design team at Twist of Faith. I'd love to see your creations!

This is really sweet! I love the verse, and the shape of your card is wonderful. I always seem to use the standard shape card, and don't tend to often think outside the box. You were very creative with this, and it turned out beautifully! Thanks so much for sharing it in our challenge this week. I really do appreciate your participation and fellowship. May God bless your week, and thanks again for sharing!
