MOJO 221 and Embellish challenge

Now that Christmas is over, my friends and family have a lot of birthdays coming up. Yet we're still getting together with friends over the holiday, so I'm crafting between events. I always love MOJO Mondays and their pattern seemed to coordinate perfectly with Embellish Magazine's Color Trends Challenge.

The "Mixed Patterns" that I chose could go perfectly with the strips at the top of the MOJO Monday designs. I interpreted their colors to be Outdoor Denim, Olive, Honey, and Chocolate. The Chocolate and Denim colored patterns were from Basic Grey. The Olive pattern was one I stamped with Olive in on Olive CS using CTMH "Noted Backgrounds" houndstooth pattern. I hope I didn't get too carried away with too many patterns in my background papers. They all seemed to coordinate so well. They were neutral background papers with olive patterns. I also chose an open flower and leaf outline stamp set that I stamped on Close To My Heart's "Mayberry" patterned paper that was honey colored on one side and a light tint of olive on the back.

Since my focal point image was already a flower, I chose an olive button and honey colored baker's twine instead of the flower on the design. I had several types of Olive buttons, but the design that looked like stitching on this one seemed to go with the "Patterns" theme. I really enjoyed working with the elements from both challenges. They seemed to come together naturally.
