Today I'm praying for the husband of one of my PEO sorority sisters. He's having surgery. I pray that God will guide the doctor's hands and heal him. May He comfort and encourage my friend as she waits. Here's the outside of my card to express how I'm thinking of them.
I used the new Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month, "Paper Garden." The red line around the two biggest flowers and leaf means the shape coordinates with a Cricut cut using the Artiste cartridge.
The silhouettes are fun for a variety of stamping techniques. I stamped each image in one color then rolled the edges of the stamp with a darker color and re-stamped it. That means lining up the stamp on top of the image. That's why I love clear acrylic stamps! The larger flower has writing on it which helps in lining up the stamp on the image. Mine wasn't always exact, which didn't bother me because I think that's OK with this style. (See more artwork with this stamp set at the bottom of this post.)
The colors of ink I used are: Hollyhock with Pomegranate, Goldrush with Hollyhock and Goldrush with Fern, and Hollyhock with Chocolate. The cardstocks were simply Kraft, Colonial White, and Black. Look below to see links to the other supplies I used.
I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:

What a gorgeous Fall card. I love how you effectively mixed all your images to makie such a fine design. We are blessed that you joined our Challenge last week at Word Art Wednesday. Make sure you drop by again this week to link your family-friendly projects with us. Leaving you with God's Word in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 and it says, "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. "
God bless always,
JO ANN
